Western Washington Veterinary Conference

Western Washington Veterinary Conference

Hi, I’m Alicia Hartley, Lead LVT here at Alpine View Veterinary Hospital in the Monroe & Snohomish area. I recently attended the Western Washington Veterinary conference in Las Vegas, which is an intense 5 day veterinary conference. Veterinary professionals, veterinarians, technicians, and managers alike all attend this conference in order to ensure that we are as current and as up to date as possible on all the latest veterinary research for services, products, and medical information for all of our deserving patients.

The classes we are so interesting it was hard for me to decide which ones would benefit our patients the most for me to attend.

Some of the courses I participated in were:

  • Feline Pancreatitis
  • Acute Pneumonia in dogs
  • Toxins and poisons in the household and how best to treat poison emergencies
  • Critical care nursing
  • Nerve blocks and advanced pain management

Everyone here at Alpine View Vet Clinic feels that it’s so important for everyone in our profession to stay informed on the latest trends in veterinary medical procedures and practices. From the nerve block and advanced pain management seminar alone I have been able to provide extra pain relief and an easier recovery for all our spay, neuter, and orthopedic patients.

Although we attend regular continuing education programs throughout the duration of the yr, the Western Veterinary Conference was the most enjoyable and the most informative for me, thus the most beneficial to our patients as well.

I’ll be sure to keep you posted on all the new and interesting topics/educational programs that I attend in the future. I feel that the better educated the staff are here at Alpine View the better care your pets will receive.

Call 360-794-6662 if you require an appointment with your Snohomish / Monroe Veterinarian or if you just need general assistance for your pet in any way! We’re here to help!

Sincerely,

Alicia Hartley, LVT
