POISONOUS PLANTS AND OUR PETS!

POISONOUS PLANTS AND OUR PETS!

We all know that spring and summer here in the Pacific NW is beautiful and the weather has been just right to get outside and start working in our yards and gardens! Before you do however, please review the list below of the 10 most toxic plants to pets and for your pets safety pleaseĀ be sure to steer clear of those when choosing how to decorate your yard! Especially if your pet likes to get into grasses, plants, and flowers!

Itā€™s important to know that the list below is intended only as a guide to just a few of the many plants which are generally identified as having the capability for producing a toxic reaction in your pets. We recommend first that you print this list and keep it in an accessible place or even bring it with you when heading to the garden store to do your shopping.Ā  Secondly, since there are more than 700 plants that have been identified as producing toxic substances in sufficient amounts to cause harmful effects in animals we strongly recommend visiting http://www.petpoisonhelpline.com/poisons/ for a complete list of all of the plants poisonous to our furry friends before heading out to your local nursery!

Ten most poisonous plants to pets:
